PHOTOS: “Stop America’s War that makes Muslims fight Muslims” RALLIES

Hundreds of protestors gathered in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad to participate in announced rallies by Hizb ut-Tahrir Wilayah Pakistan as part of its “Stop America’s War that makes Muslims fight Muslims.”

The police gathered in hundreds at the venues, reinforced by intelligence. Armed police checked cars near the venues to create fear. Tear gas police were deployed. In Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi there was a baton charge. Over 30 have been arrested. There was national television coverage which was abruptly cut after less than an hour.

Hizb ut-Tahrir Wilayah announces nationwide rallies on Sunday 31 May 2009 at 5 pm to stop America’s war, which has made Muslims fight Muslims. The rallies will take place inshAllah in Pakistan’s three largest cities: Regal Chawk in Karachi, Nasir Bagh in Lahore and Liaqat Bagh in Rawalpindi.
Already there has been an exceptional response to the “Stop America’s War which makes Muslims fight Muslims” campaign.
