A four member delegation of Hizb ut-Tahrir in Bangladesh met officials of Afghan embassy in Dhaka. The delegation was led by the Chief Coordinator and Official Spokesman of Hizb ut-Tahrir in Bangladesh Mohiuddin Ahmed. He was accompanied by members of the party Dr Shiekh Tawfique, Mustafa Minhaz and Ahmed Jamal Iqbal.

The Official Spokeswoman of Hizb ut-Tahrir in Bangladesh Mrs Fahmida Farhana Khanam issued a press release today stating that the government is working to save India and her agents inside and outside the government who plotted the Pilkhana massacre. On the other hand the government is carrying out fascist style brutality against members and activists of Hizb ut-Tahrir for exposing the conspiracy. These actions demonstrate the government’s shameless affection for its Indian masters.

Hizb ut-Tahrir in Bangladesh has arranged this press conference today in the context of government brutality against the party which has been going on for a month now. As you are all aware the government started its repression against Hizb ut-Tahrir due to the firm stance of the party in exposing the government. On 28 February Hizb ut-Tahrir in Bangladesh issued a leaflet regarding the massacre of army officers stating that it was part of a long term plot which was carried out by India and her agents inside and outside the government.

Today, a two member delegation of Hizb ut-Tahrir handed over an open letter to the Afghan embassy in Islamabad. This open letter was written by Hizb ut-Tahrir – Afghanistan. This letter declares the arrests and torture of Hizb members by the Afghan government and especially the Afghan intelligence agency NDS (National directorate of Intelligence) as against the Islamic values and Humanitarian grounds and urges the Afghan authorities to refrain from such persecutions

Chief Coordinator and Official Spokesman of Hizb ut-Tahrir in Bangladesh Mohiuddin Ahmed condemned the government brutality against the party and demanded immediate release of 43 party members and activists.

The political leaders, economists and the thinkers are well aware that the capitalist system is the real cause of the economic calamity facing the world. This system protects the interests of the capitalists themselves, its fills their coffers at the cost of the rest of humankind. It is this capitalist system that has divided the world into two categories: the 5% wealthy who monopolise 80% of the world’s wealth and resources and the 95% of people who are forced to compete for a share of the rest of 20%!
