American agencies conduct yet another attack to continue the civil war in Pakistan and initiate a military operation in North Waziristan

Hizb ut-Tahrir strongly condemns the car bomb blast at the office of a secret agency in model town Lahore that killed more than 10 and injured over 70 Muslims. The blast was so powerful that water erupted from the ground and the major part of the building collapsed. By attacking the military barracks, offices of the intelligence agencies and police stations, America and its notorious agencies are struggling to continue the civil war in Pakistan.

After sustained media coverage of the nefarious activities of Blackwater and DynCorp, America had discontinued the bomb blasts for a few weeks since it had become too obvious for everyone to see that it was the American private army who were behind these bomb blasts, which patrolled the streets of all major cities carrying weapons with complete impunity, while no one dared to stop them.

Moreover, a common man on the street was linking stability in the country with America’s ejection from the region. But now, after the passage of few weeks, Blackwater is no more the centre of attention of the people and the media, America has once again struck the security agencies of Pakistan while making the so-called terrorists the scapegoat. Moreover, these blasts will also prepare grounds for the probable military operation in North Waziristan, preparation for which have already been started. The aim of targeting the security agencies is to make them shift their target from America and India to their own Muslim brothers. On the other hand, America also mass murdered civilian population by conducting military operations which used freely used mortars shells and aerial bombing.

Thus turning the public against their own military and security agencies. This is how America is fuelling this fire of chaos and hatred on both sides. We wish to warn the public and the security organizations of this trap and reiterate that their real enemy is America and till the time America is not humiliatingly ejected from the region, Afghanistan and Pakistan will continue to burn in flames of anarchy. We also wish to remind the sincere elements in the armed forces that through these military operations America not only wants to use you as a fodder in their crusade rather they also want to engage the jihadi elements in fight you in Pakistan instead of fighting the crusaders in Afghanistan. The time has come to turn the tables on America by reestablishing the Khilafah in Pakistan and turn ‘Af-Pak’ into the graveyard of American troops.

Peace be upon those who tread the path of guidance,

O oppressor rulers of Pakistan!

We convey this open letter to you following the example of RasulAllah سلم و عليه الله صلى who advised several leaders of the Qur’aish, whilst fully aware of the fact that they will neither heed guidance nor follow the true deen. This action of RasulAllah سلم و عليه الله صلى was in accordance with the command of Allah سبحانه وتعالى,

لِمَ تَعِظُونَ قَوْمًا اللَّهُ مُهْلِكُهُمْ أَوْ مُعَذِّبُهُمْ عَذَابًا شَدِيدًا قَالُوا مَعْذِرَةً إِلَى رَبِّكُمْ وَلَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ
“And when a community among them said: “Why do you preach to a people whom Allah is about to destroy or to punish with a severe torment?” (The warners) said: “In order to be free from guilt before your Lord (Allah), and perhaps they may fear Allah.” [Surah al-A'raf 7:164]

Accordingly, we advise you to seek forgiveness from Allah سبحانه وتعالى on the Day when all souls will be brought forth to Him سبحانه وتعالى. And we pray to Allah سبحانه وتعالى that you become of those who fear Him سبحانه وتعالى and that you seek guidance.

O oppressor rulers of Pakistan!

It has been over two years since democratic elections in February 2008 took place to replace the dictatorship of the American agent, General Musharraf. Since then until now, your policies have cheated the people by denying them the rights and blessings bestowed by their Lord, Allah سبحانه و تعالى.

Even though Pakistan has abundant resources, including gold, gas, coal, meat and wheat, you have cheated the people by implementing the capitalist system, which concentrates the wealth in the hands of a very few. People suffer in economic hardship, with soaring prices of basic needs, food and utilities. Industry is closing due to electricity shortages, even though Islam has mandated that energy is a public property that must be provided for the entire public, cheaply and without interruption. People face unprecedented rises in prices due to an ever weakening currency, because this currency is not backed by the real wealth of Muslims, as Islam mandates, but instead it is tied to the dollar of a failing and collapsing American economy. And you cheated the people of the wealth that Allah سبحانه و تعالى has bestowed upon them, because you refuse to implement Islam’s economic rules which ensure the distribution of wealth. Allah سبحانه و تعالى said,

كَيْ لاَ يَكُونَ دُولَةً بَيْنَ الأَغْنِيَاءِ مِنْكُمْ
“It is so that it does not circulate solely among the wealthy from amongst you.” [Surah Al-Hashr 59: 7]

Even though our people have loved Islam and stood for it for over a thousand years, you are cheating the people about their basic identity and values. You uphold the corrupt Western freedoms and laws. You allow Western embassies, through their funding of some corrupt media personalities, Western multinationals and cultural organizations, to attack the Islamic concepts and sentiments. And when our people resisted this corruption, your cheating then passed all limits and you tried to portray the corrupt Western concepts, like democracy, as if they were part of Islam, by claiming that they are from the Mithaaq of Madinah or the Khilafah Rashida! And you cheated the people because you refuse to implement Islam’s education and media policies, which preserve and nurture the Islamic concepts and emotions exclusively and comprehensively. Allah سبحانه و تعالى said,

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا قُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ وَأَهْلِيكُمْ نَارًا وَقُودُهَا النَّاسُ وَالْحِجَارَةُ
“O you who believe! Protect yourselves and your families from the fire, whose fuel is people and stones.” [At-Tahrim 66:6 ]

Even though Pakistan is a strong Muslim country, with an army bigger than America’s, and braver due to the Muslims’ love of Shahadah, you have cheated the people of their right to security by siding with the enemy. Due to your alliance with the open enemies of the Muslims, America’s presence in the region has led to unprecedented insecurity, with America’s private military organizations and intelligence orchestrating a campaign of assassinations and bombings, as they did in Iraq. You added to the harm upon the Muslims, by sending the Muslim soldiers to the tribal areas to fight on behalf of America, just like Musharraf before you. Until now 30,452 people have been killed and injured since 9/11 in America’s war of fitna. Some 2,273 Pakistani soldiers including 78 officers, two Major Generals and five brigadiers besides others, have lost their lives while 6,512 sustained injuries, even though the Western crusaders have only sacrificed 1,582 of their own troops! You are cheating the Muslims of their strength when America is at its weakest, with its allies abandoning it and its economy crippled and collapsing, when there is ample opportunity to allow America’s crusade to collapse rather than supporting it with the blood of Muslims. You cheat the Muslims because you refuse to implement Islam’s foreign policy, which prevents alliance with the enemy. Allah سبحانه و تعالى said,

يَا أَ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لاَ تَتَّخِذُوا عَدُوِّي وَعَدُوَّكُمْ أَوْلِيَاءَ تُلْقُونَ إِلَيْهِمْ بِالْمَوَدَّةِ وَقَدْ كَفَرُوا بِمَا جَاءَكُمْ مِنْ الْحَقِّ
“O you who believe! Choose not My enemies who are your enemies as allies showing them affection even when they disbelieve in that truth that has come to you” [Surah Mumtahina 60:1]

Even though the brave Muslims of Kashmir have prevented the Indians from claiming Kashmir for over six decades, you are cheating the Muslims by seeking to grant India some rights over Kashmir which she could neither earn by her own hands nor does she deserve. You are cheating the Muslims to please America, so that you can redeploy even more soldiers to fight in America’s war of fitna in the tribal areas, abandoning Kashmir to Indian mischief. And you are doing so, even though it is America which is the guarantor for India’s new found presence in Afghanistan, which has already caused much harm for the Muslims. You cheat the Muslims because you refuse to implement Islam’s domestic policy, which denies the occupation of even a hand span of Muslim Land. Allah سبحانه و تعالى said,

إِنَّمَا يَنْهَاكُمْ اللَّهُ عَنْ الَّذِينَ قَاتَلُوكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ وَأَخْرَجُوكُمْ مِنْ دِيَارِكُمْ وَظَاهَرُوا عَلَى إِخْرَاجِكُمْ أَنْ تَوَلَّوْهُمْ وَمَنْ يَتَوَلَّهُمْ فَأُوْلَئِكَ هُمْ الظَّالِمُونَ ْ
“Allah forbids your friendship with those who fight you because of your faith, and drive you from your homelands, or aid others to do so: and as for those who turn to them in friendship, they are truly oppressors.” [Surah al-Mumtahina 60:9]

O oppressor rulers of Pakistan!

You have cheated and betrayed our people due to your insistence to rule by other than Islam. You have turned truth into falsehood and portrayed falsehood as the truth and betrayed the trust of the people. You are like the shepherd who drives his own herd to the brink of death and destruction. Imam Ahmad narrates that RasulAllah صلى الله عليه وسلم  said,

«إِنَّهَا سَتَأْتِي عَلَى النَّاسِ سِنُونَ خَدَّاعَةٌ يُصَدَّقُ فِيهَا الْكَاذِبُ وَيُكَذَّبُ فِيهَا الصَّادِقُ وَيُؤْتَمَنُ فِيهَا الْخَائِنُ وَيُخَوَّنُ فِيهَا الْأَمِينُ وَيَنْطِقُ فِيهَا الرُّوَيْبِضَةُ قِيلَ وَمَا الرُّوَيْبِضَةُ قَالَ السَّفِيهُ يَتَكَلَّمُ فِي أَمْرِ الْعَامَّةِ»
“There will come upon people years of deceit in which the liar will be believed, the truthful disbelieved, the treacherous will be trusted and the trustworthy held to be treacherous, and the despicable (Ruwaibidah) will speak out. It was said: Who are the despicable ones? He (saw) said: “The lowy, ignoble man.”

If you but thought, contemplated and examined your hearts sincerely, you would understand that a ruler who cheats on his people and does not look after them, will neither enter Jannah nor even smell its sweet fragrance. Bukhari narrates that RasulAllah سلم و عليه الله صلى said:

«مَا مِنْ وَالٍ يَلِي رَعِيَّةً مِنْ الْمُسْلِمِينَ فَيَمُوتُ وَهُوَ غَاشٌّ لَهُمْ إِلَّا حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ الْجَنَّةَ»
“There is no governor/wali who takes charge of Muslims and dies cheating them, except that Allah prohibits him paradise.”

We therefore call upon you to repent for your implementation of kufr and all the harm that it has bought our people. The very least that you can do in the hope of atoning for your sins, is to make way for the sincere and capable to succeed you in ruling. If not then you are destined to humiliation at the hands of the Ummah when the Khilafah is re-established, soon by the will of Allah سبحانه وتعالى, as you know better than most. And what is even worse for you is the severe punishment in the hereafter, when your wealth and riches will not save you, of which you must know better than all.

وَلاَ تَحْسَبَنَّ اللَّهَ غَافِلاً عَمَّا يَعْمَلُ الظَّالِمُونَ إِنَّمَا يُؤَخِّرُهُمْ لِيَوْمٍ تَشْخَصُ فِيهِ الأَبْصَارُ + مُهْطِعِينَ مُقْنِعِي رُءُوسِهِمْ لاَ يَرْتَدُّ إِلَيْهِمْ طَرْفُهُمْ وَأَفْئِدَتُهُمْ هَوَاءٌ
“Consider not that Allah is unaware of that which the Zalimun (opressors) do, but He gives them respite up to a Day when the eyes will stare in horror. (They will be) hastening forward with necks outstretched, their heads raised up (towards the sky), their gaze returning not towards them and their hearts empty (from thinking because of extreme fear).” [Surah Ibrahim 14:42 & 43]

Two Muslim women have become the first passengers to refuse to subject themselves to controversial ‘naked’ full body airport scans. The pair - who security officials insist were selected at random - opted to miss their flight to Pakistan and forfeit tickets worth £400 each rather than be screened. One of the women refused to go through the full-body scanner at Manchester Airport on religious grounds while her companion also declined for ‘medical reasons’. The women were travelling together to Islamabad when they were selected to pass through the controversial security screen after checking-in at Terminal Two at the airport. An estimated 15,000 people have already passed through the scanners, with the pair the first passengers to refuse a scan.

Dutch anti-Islam leader is major winner in polls

Dutch anti-Islamist leader Geert Wilders scored major gains in local authority polls Thursday, making him a serious challenger for power in a June national election, preliminary results showed. In the first test of public opinion since the collapse of Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende’s coalition government last month, Wilders’s Freedom Party (PVV) led in the city of Almere and was second in The Hague. The results came on top of an opinion poll showing that the PVV, which campaigns against Muslim immigration as its main platform, would win the most seats — 27 in the 150-member Dutch parliament — in the June 9 election. The popularity of Wilders, who compares Islam to fascism and the Koran to Adolf Hitler’s book “Mein Kampf,” has dented the image of the Netherlands as a country that has often portrayed itself in the past as a bastion of tolerance. The PVV has been pitching its policies to a nation of 16 million that is turning increasingly inward as the economy struggles and social tensions rise. There are nearly 1 million Muslims in the Netherlands. “The leftist elite still believes in multi-culturalism, coddling criminals, a European super-state and high taxes,” Wilders told cheering supporters at a rally in Almere after polling ended Wednesday. “But the rest of the Netherlands thinks differently. That silent majority now has a voice,” he said.

U.S. Wages Food War Against Somalia

While nearly half the population of Somalia teeters at the edge of starvation, the U.S. is preventing the United Nations from delivering desperately needed food. According to documents obtained by the New York Times, the Americans demand that aid agencies guarantee that no fees are paid “at roadblocks, ports, warehouses, airfields or other transit points” controlled by Shabab resistance fighters. Since the Shabab and other militias control more than half of the area in conflict, United Nations compliance with U.S. conditions would mean starvation for about three million people.Indeed, if international aid were restricted to areas controlled by the U.S.-backed puppet regime, only a few neighborhoods in Mogadishu, the capital, would be fed. As the Americans’ Somali puppets’ position becomes more untenable, the U.S. squeezes the UN’s food delivery system, in effect punishing the entire Somali people. U.S. food relief to the UN’s Somali operations in 2009 was only half that of 2008. In 2007, United Nations officials declared Somalia the “worst humanitarian crisis in Africa…worse than Darfur,” as a result of the U.S.-backed Ethiopian invasion in late 2006. Thus, the United States has been waging continuous war against the people of Somalia, directly or by proxy, for over three years under the guise of the “war on terror.”

Astonishing number of birth defects reported in  Fallujah

Doctors are investigating reports of a very high rate of birth defects in a city of Iraq that was often the scene of heavy fighting involving U.S. troops. The BBC reported the residents of Fallujah are seeing birth defects, including heart problems, at a rate of 95 in every 1,000 births. The report said that represented 13 times the number of similar birth defects in Europe. A doctor told the BBC she is seeing two or three cases every day of birth defects, including paralysis, brain damage and cardiac problems. Data indicate prior to 2003, doctors would have seen perhaps one such case every two months. Local officials have advised woman in Fallujah not to have children, the BBC said. Residents link the timing of the surge in defects with about a year after a U.S. military-led offensive in Fallujah in 2004 and suggest armaments used in the fight may be to blame for their children’s problems. Military officials told the BBC they had received no official reports of an increase in birth defects in the area but that exploded ordnance is a “recognized hazard.” One researcher said she had seen “footage of babies with an eye in the middle of the forehead, the nose on the forehead.”

That was a war council in Damascus

The three-party meeting that took place in Damascus on Friday gathering the Syrian president Bashar al Assad, the Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and the Hizbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah was a war council to devise counterattack plans and assign tasks in the event of an Israeli offensive on one or all parties, wrote Abdelbari Atwan, the editor-in-chief of the pan-Arab newspaper Al Quds al Arabi. “The timing of the meeting, the way it was undertaken and the ensuing press conference that was held at its conclusion, all point to a strategic coalition being reinforced. This is the build-up of a new front that will spearhead the confrontation with the US-Israeli alliance and whichever Arab countries that may, expressly or implicitly, be affiliated with it.”The Iranian president said he expects war to break out somewhere between spring and summer of this year.

Ensure Pakistan does not use military aid against us: India

Raising concern over the reported decision of the United States to supply sophisticated arms to Pakistan, New Delhi on Thursday said Washington should ensure that the military aid was not used against India. Defence Minister A.K. Antony expressed concern over the move to supply a whole array of sophisticated laser guided bomb kits, surveillance drones and latest-model F-16 fighter jets to Pakistan. In a statement here, Mr. Antony said: “Given our bitter past experience of how Islamabad used such aid against India, Washington should ensure that the latest tranche of military aid is used only for the purpose of countering al-Qaeda and Taliban terrorists and not against India.” Pentagon also decided to refurbish and expand the F-16 fighter jets Pakistan has been using since the 1980s. It also has got Cobra attack helicopters and C 130 transport aircraft from the U.S. Last week the Wall Street Journal reported that the Obama administration was expanding weapon sales to India and Pakistan “in a bid to forge closer ties with each country, while creating new opportunities for American defence firms.” It said that while India paid for its own weapons, Islamabad used American grants to fund most of its arms purchases. During the visit of U.S. Defence Secretary Robert Gates to Pakistan, there were reports of Pentagon willing to offer surveillance drones to Islamabad, now used in the frontier areas. The U.S. annual military aid to Pakistan is now around $3 billion.

American Quick Reaction Force - 21st century East India Company deploying its troops in Pakistan

According to American Congress’s budget documents for the year 2011, American government has allocated 23 million dollars for stationing its troops as “Quick Reaction Force” (QRF), under the guise of protecting American embassy and consulate in Pakistan. This force will be authorized to operate even outside the embassy premises to perform any operation. On the contrary, U.S. embassy in Pakistan has adopted the style of Rehman Malik by issuing a denial. It should be remembered that on numerous occasions senior officials of U.S. foreign office accepted the presence of Blackwater and DynCorp in Pakistan whilst Rehman Malik and US embassy in Pakistan kept on denying it because both of them are more aware of the psyche of Pakistani people and how to confuse them by issuing contradictory statements. Surely the purpose of the acceptance and denial is to create and spread confusion so that the people of Pakistan should not be focused to expel America from the region. But America and his loyal servants are not aware of the fact that the Ummah’s awareness has excelled to higher grounds and these dirty tactics will not be able to distract them. Agent rulers of Pakistan are continuously providing space for the American camel in their tent and eventually America will seize complete control of Pakistan because only one camel can occupy a single tent. America has already stationed a big contingent of Blackwater, DynCorp and CIA agents and they are abducting and killing people as well as conducting bomb blasts throughout Pakistan. Through the drone attacks, North Waziristan in particular and South Waziristan in general are practically under US control. America has established bases in various air fields along with a base in Terbela. America’s ‘East India Company’ is increasing its unholy control all over Pakistan by the passage of each day. Above all, the establishment of U.S. quick reaction force (QRF) will be a lethal move in completing the surrender of Pakistan’s sovereignty to America. During dictatorship the land and air ways were handed over to America and in democracy the entire country has been surrendered to the US. Hizb ut-Tahrir calls the sincere sons in Pakistan Army that they should provide support to Hizb ut-Tahrir to establish the Khilafah and save Pakistan from becoming another Iraq because any further delay will be devastating for the Ummah. Hizb ut-Tahrir also appeals to the Ummah that they should join the ranks of the Hizb so that a strong and decisive movement could be launched in order to expel America from the region. With the blessing of Allah, All Mighty, kuffar’s plans will be foiled and the prophecy of Muhammad (s.a.a.w) will be fulfilled i.e. “and once again Khilafah will be established on the footsteps of Prophethood”. O Rulers! Do not slander Islam to cover-up your evil deeds

Linking the notorious NRO (Nation Reconciliation Ordinance) with Misaq-e-Madina (Covenant of Medina) doesn’t only amount to disgracing Islam but it also brings disrepute for the Messenger of Allah (saaw). We ask the rulers what corruption charges were dropped under Misaq-e-Medina?!  How many Sahaba (r.a) were pardoned for murder?!  Whose illicit money was declared legal under this covenant?! They should not dare to cover their corrupt and evil faces by slinging mud at Islam and the Mesenger of Allah (saaw). Rulers should not misguide the Ummah if they are illiterate regarding Misaq-e-Medina. Misaq-e-Medina was the legal document through which Muhammad (s.a.w) forced the Jews of Medina to recognize the newly established Islamic State. This legal document actually defined the relationship of Muslims and the Jews.  One of the clauses of Misaq-e-Medina gives Muhammad (saw) the sole right to settle the disputes between Muslims and Jews.  And by accepting this clause Jews of Medina actually accepted the authority and writ of the Islamic State.  Not only this, Jews were actually given amnesty under the condition that they will not support any aggressor against the Islamic State. Wasn’t this clause enough to subdue the Jews?  And due to the violation of this very clause, during the Battle of Khandaq (Trench) and their support for Quresh, Messenger (saaw) killed all the men of Banu Quredha while the women and children were taken as slaves. Even now can anyone declare this legal document, “a document of reconciliation”? In fact Misaq-e-Medina was a legal document, which established the authority of the State and forced the Jews to submit to the writ of the State.  This shows the great political astuteness and the statesmanship of the Messenger of Allah (saaw) that with the help of one document the Jews were barred from providing any help to the enemies of Islam.  Hence how can these illiterate rulers use Mesaq-e-Medina to disguise their corruption? These rulers are following the footsteps as Jews who used to slander their own Prophets in order to justify their evil deeds.  And today these rulers are slandering Muhammad (s.a.w) in order to disguise their corruption. We are warning them that they should better stay in their limits and refrained from insulting Islam and the Prophet (saaw), otherwise Ummah will grab them by their throats and throw them out of their palaces.  The rulers must not forget that the Khilafah is on the horizon and they will have to pay for their evil acts whilst the torment of the hereafter is far worse then this.

Global trade flows contracted by a catastrophic 12% in 2009, the fastest pace since the second world war, Pascal Lamy, director general of the World Trade Organisation revealed today, as he urged its 153 member countries to breathe new life into the ailing Doha trade round. This latest estimate is considerably worse than the WTO’s previous forecast of a 10% decline for last year, underlining the hefty costs of the financial crisis for the world economy. “The main explanation for this freefall in trade has been the simultaneous reduction in aggregate demand across all major world economies,” Lamy told a conference in Brussels.

Strikes in Greece bring country to a halt

This week police in Greece clashed with protesters striking over austerity measures designed to save the economy. Police fired tear gas at a group of some 50 protesters as a rally attended by some 25,000 people ended in Athens. It is the second general strike in two weeks and coincides with growing anger at the EU’s response to the crisis. The action was the biggest since Greece’s socialist government introduced cuts to bring the country’s debt and deficit under control. Greece closed airspace to all flights, while trains and ferries stood idle and archaeological sites remained shut for the day. The country currently has a spiralling public deficit of 12.7%, more than four times higher than eurozone rules allow. The government has pledged to cut this to 8.7% this year, and also reduce the 300bn-euro ($419bn; £259bn) national debt, by freezing public sector salaries, raising the average retirement age to 63 by 2015, and increasing taxes on petrol, alcohol and tobacco. It also wants to crack down on tax avoidance. Greece’s black economy is estimated at 30% of official gross domestic product.

Turkey warns Israel against striking Iran

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan warned of an Israeli strike in Iran, saying it would lead to a “disaster in the entire region.” In an interview to Spanish newspaper El Pais published on Monday, the Turkish PM responded to a question on the results of a pre-emptive Israeli strike in the Islamic Republic saying, “this would have unforeseeable consequences that I would not even want to imagine.” He stressed that the dispute between the West and Iran over the latter’s nuclear program must be resolved through diplomatic channels, and added that economic sanctions would also have an impact on the entire region.  “Don’t leave the negotiations table until the end of the process,” he said. In the past, Turkey has offered to mediate in talks, but the Iranians objected.

However, Israel is concerned about Turkey’s rapprochement with Iran. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, “There are three strong countries in the Middle East that are not Arab,” he said. “Israel has always been rooted in the West. Iran was once Western but is currently the leader of radical Islam. The third is Turkey, which used to be close to the West but in recent years has begun to look eastward, towards Iran, and that is why its systematic glide east should worry us.”

U.S. plans for possible delay in Iraq withdrawal

The U.S. military has prepared contingency plans to delay the planned withdrawal of all combat forces in Iraq, citing the prospects for political instability and increased violence as Iraqis hold national elections next month. Under a deadline set by President Obama, all combat forces are slated to withdraw from Iraq by the end of August, and there remains heavy political pressure in Washington and Baghdad to stick to that schedule. But Army Gen. Ray Odierno, the top U.S. commander in Iraq, said Monday that he had briefed officials in Washington in the past week about possible contingency plans. Odierno declined to describe the plans in detail and said he was optimistic they would not be necessary. But he said he was prepared to make the changes “if we run into problems” in the coming months. Under Obama’s plan, about 50,000 troops will remain in the country through 2011 to train Iraqi forces, perform counterterrorism operations and help with civilian projects. The United States has signed a legal agreement with the Iraqi government to withdraw all forces by the end of 2011. U.S. commanders have already reduced the presence in Iraq to about 96,000 military personnel, Odierno said — the first time since the 2003 invasion that fewer than 100,000 U.S. troops have been in the country. The U.S. military presence reached a peak of 166,000 troops in October 2007.  “Right now, our plan is to be at 50,000 by the 1st of September,” he said. “And if you ask me today, I’m fully committed and I believe that’s the right course of action.”

Pakistan received $18 billion for siding with America’s war against Islam

Pakistan received nearly $18 billion as aid from the United States, including $11.5 billion as military assistance, according to Congressional documents. A Congressional compilation of the US aid to Pakistan says Islamabad has received $6 billion in civilian aid after the September 11 attack in New York. The Obama Administration, in its latest annual budget, has proposed $1.6 billion in military assistance and about $1.4 billion as civilian assistance to Pakistan. This takes the total US aid to Pakistan to more than $20.7 billion post 9/11, according to the data compiled from information received from the Departments of Defence, State and Agriculture and US Agency for International Development. Of the military assistance, the maximum amount $7.345 billion has gone to Pakistan as Coalition Support Fund (CSF), which many do not consider as foreign assistance as this is reimbursement that Pakistan receives for its support of the US military operations in Afghanistan. This is followed by $2.164 billion as Foreign Military Assistance. After coming to power, the Obama Administration has so far provided $1.1 billion ($400 million in 2009 and $700 million in 2010) for Pakistan Counterinsurgency Fund/Counterinsurgency Capability Fund. For the year 2011, Obama has proposed to the US Congress $1.2 billion for Pakistan under this category. Non-military assistance to Pakistan has increased considerably under the Obama Administration, which is mainly attributable to the Kerry-Lugar- Berman bill, which grants $7.5 billion to Pakistan in five years beginning 2009.

Hizb ut-Tahrir organized demonstration in Dhaka calling for the removal of Sheikh Hasina and her government

Hundreds of people attended a demonstration organized by Hizb ut-Tahrir today calling for the removal of Sheikh Hasina and her government and the re-establishment of the Khilafah. The demonstration started from Muktangon and finished outside the national press club. Before finishing the programme, a senior member of the party delivered a speech in which he said, despite the government’s repressive measures, Hizb ut-Tahrir organized the demonstration to speak for the Ummah and on behalf of the Ummah. He said the Muslims of the country want to see the back of Sheikh Hasina and her government. Sheikh Hasina is a loyal agent of the crusaders and polytheists - US, Britain and India.

The government of Sheikh Hasina collaborated with the Indian polytheist state in the killing of army officers at the BDR headquarters in February 2009 to weaken the BDR and the Army of Bangladesh.   Her government is securing the interests of imperialist powers, but it has done nothing to fulfil its promises to the people. The subservient stance taken by Sheikh Hasina and her government is a crime against Islam, and the Muslims.

The speaker said the root cause of the country’s problems is the kufr democratic system. Khaleda Zia and the BNP alliance is not an alternative to Sheikh Hasina and the Awami League alliance. Only the Khilafah can fulfil the needs of the Ummah and challenge the imperialist disbelievers and polytheists. What does the US gain by this deal with Taiwan? How will it tackle its relationship with China which have relatively improved since the economic crisis, and moreover there were expectatations of improvements in the relations especially after Obama having taken over the presidency and visited China in December, 2009? 1. As a result of this, the Chinese are very upset and fuming. The Chinese Vice Minister for External Affairs He Yafei expressed his country’s strong reaction and issued a statement warning that this deal to sell US arms to Taiwan, “It will be un­avoidable that co-operation between China and the United States over important international and regional issues will also be affected.” He added: “This new American plan to sell arms to Taiwan which is an inseparable part of China constitutes gross intervention in the internal affairs and exposes the national security of China to great danger and jeopardizes efforts towards a peaceful re-unification of the country.” The US ambassador to Beijing was called and a serious protest was conveyed to him. The American action is not simply incidental, nor is it a merely a matter of trade profit through arms sale to Taiwan, it is intended to put pressure on China and force it into agreeing with the US in various matters including upward revaluation of the Chinese currency against the US dollar and opther trade issues as well as the cencorship of the US electonic serach engine “Google” in which the United States has directly been involved.

Moreover due to America’s shaken standing after the financial crisis as well as its problems in Iraq and Afghanistan, China is begining to emerge from its own region into the international political arena; therefore the US is trying to create an effective problem within the vicinity of China, thus engaging it there and further heating up the already tense situation. On the other hand the US wants to send the message to China that the US is strong and its writ runs globally. This is also the message for the other big nations of the world at large.

5. As for Taiwan importance to the US, it amounts to nothing in comparison with Amrica’s interest that it can acheive with China. In 1979 the US had withdrawn its recognition to Taiwan as being representative of the Chinese people. Obama has added other features to please the Chinese since coming to power apart from the broad smiles he gave to them during his last visit in December 2009 when he welcomed China’s emergence into an international role. Obama expressed his intentions to strengthen and devlop relations with China including military relations…This is because the US needs China in many issues whether financial, trade or foreign policy…

All this indicates that it is not possible for the US to sacrifice its relations with China neither for a mere US $ 6.40 billion nor for the sake of Taiwan which amounts to nothing on the global political map which the US has alrady forsaken as being reprensentative of the Chinese people…

Thus the tensions with China will not reach beyond a measured point especially because the US is convinced that the Chinese reactions will not spell a breaking point in their bilateral relations, as a US official recently commented:”The Chinese reactions are temporary.”

French President Nicolas Sarkozy has pledged earthquake-ravaged Haiti 270m euros (£235m) in reconstruction aid. The aid package includes cancelling 56m euros (£48m) in debt owed by Haiti. However, the legacy of French colonial rule is still a bitter issue for many Haitians. Haiti won independence in 1804 after a bloody uprising by slaves against the French. But, Paris demanded 90 million pieces of gold in reparations for lost property and Haiti did not finish repaying the debt until 1947. By some estimates the amount paid by Haitians is worth $20 billion at today’s value. Clearly, France’s mantra of liberty and  equality is not applicable to Haitians.

Global Economic Wars: Wall street behind Greece’s debt burden

European leaders have criticised Goldman Sachs and other investment banks following allegations that they helped Greece to disguise the true scale of its debts over several years. “It’s a scandal if it turned out that the same banks that brought us to the brink of the abyss helped to fake the statistics,” Germany’s chancellor Angela Merkel said in a speech at a conference in Germany Wednesday night. Eurostat, the European Union’s statistical office, has already asked Greece to clarify the use of some derivatives contracts set up from 2001 with banks including Goldman Sachs. Greek officials and banking sources claim those contracts were legal until Eurostat stopped accepting them a few years later. Bankers have claimed that Greece set an artificially low exchange rate, which meant the amount of debt it was taking on appeared lower. Goldman would hand Greece the difference upfront, to compensate for the loss. This money, which resembled a loan rather than a bond, would therefore not count as public debt. The European Parliament’s economic and monetary affairs committee has also urged EU commissioner Olli Rehn to explain the banks’ role, and to specify what action he plans to take “to stop banks assisting European governments in hiding public debt”, Arlene McCarthy, the committee’s vice-president said recently. The crisis is spreading towards other European countries with a high public deficit, including Spain, Italy and Portugal.

Clinton: Iran is becoming a military dictatorship

Iran is veering toward a military dictatorship — that’s the word from Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.  Speaking in Qatar on Monday, Clinton said Iran’s Revolutionary Guard is increasingly dominating the government in Tehran. She made the comments as she seeks support for tougher sanctions targeting Iran’s nuclear program.  “Iranian officials have refused every offer to meet on its nuclear program,” said Clinton. “So these actions, understandably, have caused us to wonder, what does Iran have to hide?” Clinton’s words were among the strongest she’s used since President Obama offered to engage with Iran. Clinton’s trip to Qatar is part of an effort to gather support for tough, new sanctions against Iran, and she made her case by warning that the country is becoming a military dictatorship. “We are planning to try to bring the world community together in applying pressure to Iran through sanctions adopted by the United Nations that will be particularly aimed at those enterprises controlled by the Revolutionary Guard which we believe is, in effect, supplanting the government of Iran,” she said. “That is how we see it.”

Pakistan is America’s greatest concern

US vice president Joe Biden has admitted he sees instability in Pakistan as a greater threat to international security than Afghanistan, Iran or Iraq. Speaking on Larry King Live, Mr Biden said that the combined effect was to make Pakistan his “greatest concern”. “It’s a big country,” he said. “It has nuclear weapons that are able to be deployed. It has a real significant minority of radicalised population. It is not a completely functional democracy in the sense we think about it.”

China decries Obama-Dalai Lama meeting

Chinese Vice-Foreign Minister Cui Tiankai Friday summoned the U.S. Ambassador to China Jon Huntsman and lodged solemn representations over U.S. President Barack Obama’s meeting with the Dalai Lama.  “The U.S. act grossly interfered in China’s internal affairs, gravely hurt the Chinese people’s national sentiments and seriously damaged the Sino-U.S. ties, ” said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Ma Zhaoxu in a further statement Friday.   In spite of China’s strong opposition, U.S. President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton met respectively with the Dalai Lama in Washington on Thursday.  “Tibet is an inalienable part of the inviolable territory of China, and the issues concerning Tibet are purely internal affairs of China,” Ma said.  China firmly opposes leaders or government officials of any country meeting the Dalai Lama in any form, and also firmly opposes any country or anyone using the Dalai Lama issue to interfere in its internal affairs, he added.  “The Dalai Lama’s words and deeds have shown that he is not a pure religious figure, but a political exile who has all along been engaged in separatist activities under the pretext of religion,” the spokesman said.

We know that at the beginning of the Economic crisis in America the Dollar fell significantly with respect to the Euro. However we noticed in recent days that the value of the Dollar with respect to the Euro has risen, whilst the Economic crisis is still at its peak in America. What has caused this rise given this reality?

Answer

As you know paper currency is unbacked (by a commodity), it depends on the economy of the state which issues it.

The Global Economic Crisis began in America and the Dollar fell in value with respect to other currencies. When the crisis reached Europe it effected European economies and weakened the paper currencies in European states, resulting in a relative increase in the Dollar.

To understand this, assume that the Dollar equals to one Euro. When the crisis began in America, the American Economy weakened and the dollar fell by say 20%, so that it was worth 80% of a Euro, that is, one euro now equaled 1.25 dollars. When the crisis extended to Europe, European economies weakened and their currencies fell by say 10%, that is, one euro now equaled 1.125 dollars (90% x 1.25). The Dollar now equaled 88% of the Euro, which is as if it is had risen from 80% to 88%, whilst in reality it had not risen at all in an absolute assessment, but relative to the Euro it had risen, only because the latter has declined.

It is expected that the Dollar will return back down relative to the Euro, particularly after the initial shock of the crisis in Europe is over and measures are implemented to deal with the crisis. European economies are in a better position to cope with the crisis than the American economy.

Thus the rise is relative to the weakness of the economies of states. The greater the impact of the crisis on an economy the more its currency will fall relative to other currencies. The Crisis has affected many of the world’s states. Thus paper currencies have lost their value across the board, but relative to some countries, currencies rise and fall depending on the effect of the crisis on their economies. This volatile state will remain as long as the crisis is effective.

The Economic Crisis is still affecting the world as a whole. America has huge loans on her which is owes to other states, China in particular. Is it not able to print dollars and pay off its debts to China, or do the regulations of the IMF prevent this?

Answer

America is able to print paper currency, with the consent of the IMF or without it. America itself is the influential party in the IMF. However printing money in such a manner leads to the decline of the value of the Dollar and, in turn, to inflation, that is, the rise of prices. Hence America would not take such a path, expect if she saw some another outweighing factor to do so.

For example, it was reported that America printed between 2 - 4 trillion dollars during the speculative oil boom in which oil price increased to almost $150 a barrel, and America itself was involved in this speculation. She printed this money in order to be able to buy a larger volume of oil, directly or indirectly, and to add it to her storage. In that she saw a benefit greater than the harm caused by inflation. She stopped doing this as the Global Economic Crisis began to deepen, as American markets could not bear more inflation due to the bankruptcy of many companies, rising debt, and declining production and consumption.

It is not possible for America now to print money without a greater economic counterpart, and this situation is likely to persist in the foreseeable future.

However the moment America sees a benefit for her in printing money without a counterweight, she will do so, for she is the lone state which controls her currency by having a large portion of it in the reserves of other states, in addition to the fact that she has overriding influence in the IMF.

Therefore it is not feasible at present for America to print money in order to pay off her debts. This is for two reasons:

First: if she does so the value of the currency will drop, because as the supply of the currency increases (without economic counterpart) its value drops. In turn, the value of the returned money will be lower, causing a problem between the debtor and creditor. If the creditor is a big state like China then such a move will effect economic relations between the two countries and will increase America’s economic crisis even further. America and Europe want China to work with them to solve the crisis, not to abandon it.

Second: an increase in the supply of paper money without economic return will lead to an increase in prices within America, and American economic markets cannot afford this.

Due to these reasons it is not expected that America prints money without a greater economic counterpart, at least in the foreseeable future.

However, as we have said, the possibility is still existent. If America finds that there is an overriding benefit for it, political or economic, she will do it on the basis of the widespread American dollars in the reserves of other states and using her influence in the IMF.
