Pakistani regime extends support to America for a possible attack on Pakistan

16 July 2008 No Comment

The head of American Joint chief of staff committee General Michael Mullen made an emergency visit to Pakistan on 12th July. Within few hours he met President Pervez Musharraf, Prime Minister Gilani, Army Chief, Interior Advisor, Asfandyar Wali, Mahmood Achakzai and Afrasiab Khattak. This was enough to indicate the looming windstorm. After the visit Pakistan’s Chief of the Army Staff, General Ashfaq Kiyani briefed the senior columnist and gave an impression that Pakistan is very weak and can not make a tit for tat response to the possible American strike, therefore no hopes of potent defense should be expected from the army. Also, Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani, waving a red rag at the bull, commented: “There are a lot of foreigners in the tribal area that may result into a 9/11 style attack.” These acts clearly indicate that in case of American attack on Pakistan neither the government nor the army is in any mood to resist. In fact they are the one who are creating public opinion in favor of the attack implying that America is justified to take actions against foreigners in FATA as well as nation should not expect a retaliation from the armed forces. Whereas the hard fact is that how can American army fight the Pak army when she is not in a position to defeat the Mujahideen in Iraq and Afghanistan who are devoid of heavy arms? Furthermore, how come America fight an open war with Pakistan when according to the Americans themselves their “army is stretched thin”? Can the republican, in an election year, swallow a few thousand body bags in case of war with Pakistan? Definitely not!!! In fact General Mullen visited Pakistan to get this guarantee that Pakistan army will not resist in case of a limited incursions in Pakistan. We demand from General Kiyani that he mobilize the world’s seventh largest army to defend Pakistan from the American aggression. And if the General Sahib, does not have the guts and courage to protect the nation then he better accept a farewell gift of bangles from the nation and leave this important post for a General who has the capability to defend the people of Pakistan. O Muslims! These rulers are loyal to America not with you and their responsibility is to protect the lives of American soldiers not yours. Time has come to get rid of these rulers and establish the Khilafah. O the sincere leaders among the ranks of the army! Will you still be used for American interests or you will fulfill your responsibility and give support and Nusra to Hizb ut-Tahrir for the re-establishment of Khilafah?

Naveed Butt
The Official Spokesman of Hizb ut-Tahrir in Pakistan
