Khilafah government will unite the Muslim Ummah on the basis of Islam and undertake massive industrialization program

Hizb ut-Tahrir in Bangladesh organized a seminar today on ‘Islam’s Model for Industrialization at the auditorium of Engineering Institution, Dhaka. Member of the party Mustafa Minhaz delivered the speech on the subject. Chief Coordinator and Official Spokesman Mohiuddin Ahmed, Deputy Spokesman Kazi Morshedul Haque, Mawlana Mamunur Rashid, Mohammad Shakawat Hossain and A S M Alauddin were present on the panel.

In his speech Mustafa Minhaz set out a model of the industrialization program the Islamic Khilafah government will pursue in order to position the Muslim Ummah as the number one nation in the world:

1. Political vision: The Khilafah government’s program for industrialisation and technological advancement will be built upon the Islamic Aqeedah as the driving force and motivation. The Khilafah will unite the Muslim Ummah upon the political vision of making Islam dominant all over the world.

2. Building a defence oriented economy: Khilafah will put a heavy emphasis on the defence industry as the stimulus and power behind the economy. Not only would this create jobs and generate wealth in the economy but also this industry is crucial as a deterrent to other nations who may have designs over the Islamic lands. Building an economy around defence involves the development of heavy industry such as steel and iron, coal etc as well as arms manufacturing and so forth.

3. Mineral Processing: The Khilafah will take control of its own minerals and the industries that extract process and refine them, so as to eliminate reliance on foreign nations. This would be a key objective for industry as raw materials are essential for many industries to function. Resources which the Khilafah does not have in its lands will be imported from countries that do not have any designs on the Islamic lands. The state will also develop a policy for the western companies which exist in the Muslim world.

4. Agriculture: Sustainable industrialization requires self reliance in food. Khilafah state will ensure that it is not dependent on other countries for its food. It will adopt a policy to ensure utilization of fertile land given to us by Allah (SWT). Also the government will adopt the optimum technology in the agriculture sector.

Mustafa Minhaz said the Muslim Ummah today lags far behind the industrial nations of the world. This is largely due to the failed policies pursued by the current rulers who lack any political vision and implement the Capitalist system in order to please their imperialist masters. Our current rulers are puppets of imperialists. They will never use our capability and resources.
