Taliban’s Political Office in Qatar: A New Beginning to Follow the Western Route

(Translated)

On 18th June 2013, the Office of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has been officially inaugurated in Qatar. Thus, the dialogue between Taliban and U.S. authorizes it would be initiating using it as a base in the near future. In this regard, the spokesman of Taliban in Qatar said that, “the sole purpose of establishing the office is to take the political activities forward, for which they have agreed with the government of Qatar on some conditions, which they will abide by.” The US too had repeatedly laid down their conditions of negotiation for all those factions that are involved in the arm struggle. These conditions are as follows:

  1. The insurgents should cut off all its ties with Al-Qaida.
  2. They should stop fighting.
  3. They should respect women rights.
  4. And accept the constitution of Afghanistan as well.

Hizb ut-Tahrir Wilayah Afghanistan considers politics according to Islam as mandatory upon the Ummah. The acceptance of the condition of the puppet regimes such as Qatar is preposterous as well as is tantamount to playing in the hands of the enemy. Similarly, in the presence of the invaders, it is absolutely forbidden for any Jihadi group to indulge in any dialogue with the occupying forces and by doing so they are in fact betraying the blood of martyrs at the hands of U.S. and NATO forces.

Moreover, Hizb ut-Tahrir Wilayah Afghanistan considers all these political processes initiated by the West crusaders to create intellectual, political and geographical divisions among the Ummah, as haram (forbidden) and Ummah would not accept it either. In the press release sent to the media by the spokesperson of Taliban, Zabihullah Mujahid, it is stated that they want good relationship with every country of the world including neighbors based on mutual respect, and would not allow any country to use our soil against any other, nor we will permit anyone to do it to us. Furthermore, he said after establishing the office in Qatar, they will start contacting Afghans as well as UN organization, regional organizations and other NGOs. This portion of the press release clearly indicates that they have confined themselves to the colonialist boundaries of Afghanistan and have agreed to the conditions of the U.S. because of which Afghanistan was invaded, like cutting ties with Al-Qaida and other Jihadi organizations.

The ongoing process and its in-depth study evidently indicates that the political and armed struggle of Taliban would be henceforth limited within the national borders of Afghanistan, set by the British Empire, and would play the role of a political and armed opposition only, even if they call it Islamic Emirate or Islamic Jihad. As for the already damaged political credibility of the Taliban, they would stand to lose even more. Why did they fight for the last twelve years when they were to accept the same conditions that were taken as a pretext of war by the late Bush Junior?

Today, the vital issue, for the Muslims is the re-establishment of a single Islamic Khilafah, Jihad against Kuffar invasion, cutting of all ties with the countries that are actively fighting against Muslims and the replacement of the puppet rulers and regimes in the Muslim world.
