Democracy’s rubber-stamping of the IMF’s budget does not make it home grown

As part of its continuing campaign exposing the IMF’s budget for Pakistan, Hizb ut-Tahrir Wilayah Pakistan gathered the influential of Pakistan’s financial and industrial center, Karachi. The gathering was the latest in a series of political actions from Hizb ut-Tahrir Wilayah Pakistan as part of its campaign to save Pakistan’s economy by the establishment of the Khilafah, which have so far included leaflet distribution, a launch of a booklet about how the Khilafah will revive Pakistan’s economy, delegations, press briefings and mass contact campaign.

The speaker addressing the gathering, Shahzad Sheikh, Deputy to the Spokesman of Hizb ut-Tahrir in Pakistan exposed how the Kayani-Sharif regime has slavishly implemented the IMF’s prescription for further destruction of Pakistan’ economy in the current financial year. This lethal prescription include back breaking taxation to strangle economic activity, further privatization of the crippled power sector to further raise the price of electricity and worsening government debt to weaken the Rupee through the monetizing effect of borrowing, which is the cause of the huge inflation.

Shahzad Shaikh said that already, the Kayani-Sharif regime finds itself besieged by the call from the Ummah, from all its quarters, denouncing slavery to the IMF in these days. In response, the Finance Minister has issued a flurry of denials, claiming that since democracy converted the IMF demands into law, the Budget is home-grown, he said that Hizb ut-Tahrir declares this feeble defense utter nonsense. How can the government claim that democracy makes the IMF’s Haraam, Halaal for the people? How can they claim that when the overwhelming majority believes that democracy is no good for the country and instead Shariah should be implemented as the law of the land? He further said that the Kayani-Sharif is clearly blind to the needs of the aspirations and needs of the people and that is why its honeymoon period is even less than that of the previous regime, the much despised Kayani-Zardari regime.

Engineer Shahzad called the people to rally around the Hizb for the serious work for the return of the Khilafah to the Muslim Lands of Pakistan.

آئی.ایم.ایف کا پاکستان کے لیے بجٹ 2013/14

آئی.ایم.ایف کے بجٹ کو جمہوریت کا تڑکا لگا کر اسے اپنا بجٹ قرار نہیں دیا جاسکتا

حزب التحریر ولایہ پاکستان کی جانب سے پاکستان کے لیے آئی.ایم.ایف کے بجٹ کو بے نقاب کرنے کی مہم کے سلسلے میں، پاکستان کے صنعتی اور مالیاتی مرکز کراچی کے اہل رائے حضرات کو اس بجٹ کے حوالے سے ایک بریفنگ دی گئی۔ یہ اجتماع حزب التحریر ولایہ پاکستان کی جانب سے خلافت کے قیام کے ذریعے پاکستان کی معیشت کو بچانے کے سلسلے میں شروع کی گئی مہم کا ایک حصہ تھا۔ اس مہم کے دوران لیفلٹ کی تقسیم، ایک کتاب کا اجرأ جس میں یہ بتایا گیا ہے کہ خلافت کس طرح پاکستان کی معیشت کو دوبارہ زندہ کرے گی، وفود، پریس بریفنگز اور عوامی رابطہ مہم انجام دی گئی ہے۔

اجتماع سے پاکستان میں حزب التحریر کے ڈپٹی ترجمان، شہزاد شیخ نے خطاب کیا اور اس بات کو بے نقاب کیا کہ کس طرح کیانی و شریف حکومت نے پاکستان کی معیشت کو موجودہ مالی سال میں مزید تباہ برباد کرنے کے لیے آئی.ایم.ایف کے تجویز کردہ نسخے کو من و عن نافذ کیا ہے۔ اس تباہ کن نسخے میں معاشی سرگرمیوں کو ختم کرنے کے لیے کمر توڑ ٹیکسوں، توانائی کے شعبے کو مفلوج کرنے لیے مزید نجکاری اور بجلی کی قیمتوں میں اضافے اور خسارے کو پورا کرنے کے لیے مزید قرضے لینے کا مشورہ دیا گیا ہے جو خوفناک افراط زرکی بنیادی وجہ ہے۔

شہزاد شیخ نے کہا کہ پہلے ہی کیانی و شریف حکومت امت اور معاشرے کے تمام طبقات کی جانب سے خود کو گھیرے میں پاتی ہے اور لوگ آئی.ایم.ایف کی غلامی کرنے کی مذمت کر رہے ہیں۔ انھوں نے کہا کہ حزب التحریر وزیر خزانہ کی اس تو جیع کی مذمت کرتی ہے اور اس کو ایک مذاق قرار دیتی ہے کہ کیونکہ جمہوریت نے آئی.ایم.ایف کے مطالبات کو منظور کر لیا ہے اس لیے اب یہ ایک مقامی اور ہمارا اپنا تجویز کردہ بجٹ ہے۔ حکومت کس طرح یہ دعوا کرسکتی ہے کہ جمہوریت نے آئی.ایم.ایف کی حرام تجاویز کو لوگوں کے لیے حلال بنا دیا ہے؟ حکومت کس طرح یہ دعوا کرسکتی ہے جبکہ عوام کی عظیم اکثریت جمہوریت کو ملک کے لیے ایک برائی تصور کرتی ہے اور شریعت کو ملک کے قانون کے طور پر دیکھنا چاہتی ہے؟ انھوں نے مزید کہا کہ کیانی و شریف حکومت لوگوں کی خواہشات اور ضروریات سے بالکل لاتعلق ہو چکی ہے یہی وجہ ہے کہ اس کا ہنی مون پیریڈ کیانی وزرداری حکومت کے مقابلے میں بہت جلد ختم ہوگیا ہے۔

انجینئر شہزاد شیخ نے حاضرین کو حزب کے ساتھ کام کرنے کی دعوت دی تاکہ پاکستان کی مسلم سرزمین پر خلافت کے قیام کو ممکن بنایا جائے۔
