India is an Enemy State and there can be No Friendly Relations with Her

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

India is an Enemy State and there can be No Friendly Relations with Her

Verily, you will find the strongest among men in enmity to the believers the Jews and those who are Al-Mushrikun” (Surah Al-Ma’idah: 82)

Three days ago (6 September, 2011), the Prime Minister of India,  came for a two day visit to Bangladesh. Prior to his visit the government of Hasina, her ministers, her advisors had been announcing that it will be ‘a historic visit’, and that it will take Bangladesh’s so-called friendly relations with India to ‘new heights’ etc. However one day before Manmohan’s visit the entire world learnt that it will be nothing of the sort that the Hasina government has been trumpeting. But Sheikh Hasina, her ministers, and her advisors did not want to hear what could be heard by everyone and see what could be seen by everyone. They announced that the visit will go as planned i.e. the treaties which have been announced to be signed will be signed. Manmohan duly arrived and led the Indian delegation to the official meeting with Hasina, her ministers and advisors. He slapped them hard and refused to sign the Teesta river water sharing agreement. India refused to give the people of Bangladesh their long overdue, rightful share of water from this international river. Indeed the visit was historic but not in the sense that the Hasina government raised a hue and cry about. Rather in the usual historical manner in which India treats Bangladesh and the people of this country – disdain, haughtiness and hostility.

Ever since coming to power Hasina has been serving her masters plentiful. She collaborated in the killing of army officers to force the Muslim Army of Bangladesh to accept normalization of relationship with India. She handed over the leaders of the independence movements of seven sisters, thereby fulfilling India’s key security interest. She granted transit to India. In return for all this and much more she got nothing for the people of Bangladesh. Even after the hard slap from India, Hasina still shamelessly signed the Framework Agreement on Cooperation! How much more does Hasina want to cooperate with her masters?

We want to dispel a myth here which is being propagated and which some naïve people might believe to be true that the government took a strong stance and refused to sign a treaty on transit due to India’s refusal to sign the Teesta agreement. This is lie and a deception. For two reasons – firstly, Hasina has no boundaries when it comes to serving her masters. It is irrelevant whether there is a treaty or not; otherwise under what treaty did she hand over the leaders of the independence movements of seven sisters. Secondly, Hasina has already given transit without any treaty. Her declaration in the joint communiqué during her visit to India in 2010 and subsequently the repeated statements made by her ministers and advisors that ‘there is no need for a treaty’ on this matter and that ‘work on the modalities for transit are in progress’ is enough proof for this. Furthermore even the joint communiqué issued this time states clearly that “The Prime Ministers directed that necessary formalities for the use of Chittagong and Mongla seaports for movement of goods to and from India through water, rail and road should be completed urgently.

The truth of the matter is that Sheikh Hasina was installed in power by America and India to serve their strategic interests in the region. It is irrelevant to Hasina whether the interests of the people of Bangladesh were served or not. Crusader America and polytheist India reached a compromise whereby their agent rulers in the region (especially Pakistan and Bangladesh) will deliver on the long standing interests of India which will free India’s hands and then these two enemies of Islam can develop their partnership to consolidate their foothold in the region, prevent the rise of Islam as a political ideology as well as to contain China. Therefore we see that on the one hand the Hasina government is giving in to India’s demands and at the same time securing American presence in the country especially her military’s presence such that Bangladesh has become a base for America’s murderous soldiers whose hands are drenched with the blood of Muslims.

We want to mention here a few words on Khaleda Zia. She is not an alternative to Hasina. Just like Hasina, she does not have the spine to stand up to the imperialists. She is under the instructions of her master – America – not to jeopardize the US-India compromise. What was required from her is to respect the feelings of the people and cancel her meeting with Manmohan Singh who stood on our soil and refused to respect our demands. Instead of this she disregarded the feelings of the people and went ahead with her meeting to discuss issues of ‘mutual interests!’ And in her meeting with Manmohan she said “one of the main agendas of BNP’s foreign policy is to maintain good and friendly relations with India.” She went one step further and conveyed BNP’s “positive stance regarding transit.

O Muslims!

India’s refusal to sign the Teesta agreement is further evidence of her haughtiness and hostility, if there was any need for such evidence in the first place. Indeed, India is an enemy state and she needs to be treated as such. There can be no friendly relations with her. Allah (swt) says,

لَتَجِدَنَّ أَشَدَّ النَّاسِ عَدَاوَةً لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا الْيَهُودَ وَالَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا

Verily, you will find the strongest among men in enmity to the believers the Jews and those who are Al-Mushrikun” (Surah Al-Ma’idah: 82)

It is an urgent necessity for you to establish the Khilafah state which will protect the sovereignty, security, land and resources of the country, protect the lives of the people in the border, eliminate US-Indian domination over the Muslim Army, build a strong army, and pursue a strong foreign policy to challenge US-Britain-India and secure the interests of the country.

Hizb ut-Tahrir calls you towards the life of honour, dignity, power, victory, and glory as promised by our beloved Prophet Muhammad (saw) which will only materialize under the leadership of the Khilafah:

A group of you will conquer India, Allah will open for them [India] until they come with its rulers chained; when they return back [from India] – Allah having forgiven their sins – they will find Isa ibn Maryam in Syria.” [Na’im b. Hammad in al-Fitan reports from Abu Hurayrah]

O People of Power!

You owe a duty to the people of the country to work for realizing their aspirations. The people of the country want their rightful share of water from the international rivers. They want a safe and secure border. They aspire towards a life free from US-Indian domination. They aspire for a leadership who can stand up to US-Britain-India and secure the interests of the country. The Muslims of the country are eager to see the establishment of a state which will be a source of honour, dignity, power, victory, and glory for them.

So come forward, stand up for the aspirations of the people of the country, gather and organise yourselves, remove the current rulers from power and handover authority to Hizb ut-Tahrir. And we will re-establish the righteous Khilafah state and lead you and the Muslim Ummah to once again walk the path of honour, dignity, power, victory, and glory; this victorious march will start from South Asia, Insha’Allah.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَجِيبُوا لِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ لِمَا يُحْيِيكُمْ

O you who believe! Answer the call of Allah and His Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life” (Surah Al-Anfal: 24)
